Starting in August of 2017, Alani became a freelance writer for Bustle Digital Group’s Elite Daily. Then she was brought on as a remote part-time writer for the site’s life section. She stayed on their lifestyle vertical and stayed on until March 2018.

Alani was a full-time intern for Bustle starting in January 2018 through March 2018 in their New York City office for their entertainment team. Then, after she graduated, she was brought on as a part-time Entertainment Writer. She wrote for Bustle after college from August 2018 through October 2019.
